RUBY BISHOP Obituary

Ruby Allen Bishop 2/7/1919 ~ 4/1/2011 PROVO - Ruby Allen Bishop, age 92, died April 1, 2011, in Provo. She was born February 7, 1919, in Woodrow, Utah, to Charles Rial and Rachel Ann Thompson Allen, the youngest of 11. She married her eternal sweetheart, Duane L. Bishop, January 20, 1939, in the Salt Lake Temple. Mom was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served others all her life. She made home a haven for our family and all of our friends. We honor her for her steadfast love and tender care of each of us, especially of Dad until his death in 1998. Ruby is survived by six children: Judy Garvin, Provo; Joan (Bruce) Kenner, Cottonwood Heights; Duane Allen (Shawnda), South Jordan; Richard Lynn (JeniLyn), Sutherland; Jean, Provo; and Debra Jill, Delta; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Delta on Sat., April 9, 2011, at noon at the LDS chapel at 222 West 200 North. Friends may call at Nickle Mortuary, 190 South Center St., on Friday, April 8, from 7 to 8 p.m. and Sat. morning from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Delta Cemetery under the direction of Nickle Mortuary.

Judy & Jean,
We are so sorry for the loss of your dear sweet Mother. What a reunion for her and your Dad. At times like this aren't you glad for your knowledge of the Plan of Salvation. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love, Jan & Roxcy
