Russell Brent Jacobson

Russell Brent Jacobson 1941~2003  Brent was born Oct. 29, 1941, to Russell John Jacobson and Eva Gleed Jacobson. He died Nov. 11, 2003.  Brent grew up on a farm in West Jordan and loved to participate in and watch rodeo. He graduated from Bingham High School. He started working for Kennecott after graduation and worked there for over thirty years. For many years, he worked two jobs, which included driving trucks, an occupation he thoroughly enjoyed.  He married Shirley Jean Smith on December 3, 1960; later divorced. He married Diane Bentley Sept. 20, 1981. They affectionately referred to each other as "The Redneck" and "The Outlaw." Brent enjoyed camping, fishing, rodeo and Jazz games.  His father, Russell, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Diane; Mother, Eva; Grandmother, Emma Gleed; brothers, Gene and Deon; daughters, Debbie Hughes (Rick), Kathy Hemingway (Kim), Julieann Powell (Mike), Cherlynn Ames (Randy); step-sons, Douglas Bentley (Misty); Anthony McCoy (Cher); 15 grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.  A viewing will be held Saturday, Nov.15, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. in the Granger 18th Ward (2850 W 3835 S). Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Estates (6500 S.
