Ruth Lichfield Obituary
Fillmore, UT-Ruth Deon Peterson Lichfield, 81, passed away Nov. 14, 2016 in Fillmore. Born March 26, 1935 in Fillmore, third of 6 children born to John LaVar and Hortense Harmon Peterson. Graduated Millard High and Utah State University. Married Joseph Thomas Lichfield on June 20, 1958 in Manti LDS Temple. A Teacher of Home Economics in Tooele (1959-1967), Richfield (1967-1972), and St. Johns, AZ (1972-1998). After retirement, moved back home to Fillmore. Joseph died shortly after on July 11, 2000. Ruth was a wonderful mother, enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved the kids she taught and always tried to be a positive influence in the their lives. Survived by sons: Scott (Debbie), Fillmore; Steven (Melinda), Kaysville. 9 grandkids and 4 great-grandkids.
Funeral: Saturday, November 19, 11 AM, Fillmore 4th Ward, 290 E 500 S. Viewings: Fillmore 4th Ward Church on Friday, 6-8 PM; and Saturday, 9:30-10:40 AM prior to service. Burial at the Fillmore City Cemetery. Online condolences at www.nicklemortuary.com

Scott...7th grade, Richfield Utah Mrs. pearl Jacobsen hit you in front of the class. You took it like a man, always kind and gentle. Bet you learned your honesty and goodness from your mom. Sorry she´s gone.
