Sandra Jenkins Obituary

Sandra Lee Jenkins

1961 ~ 2025

In Loving Memory

Salt Lake City, UT-Sandra Lee Jenkins passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025 at the age of 64. Sandra was born on January 26, 1961 to Alden Snow Jenkins and Arlene Roper Jenkins. She was the 4th of 5 children.

Sandra was intelligent and funny. She had two children, Thomas and Amanda with Thomas Delgado. Due to Sandra's health, Tom raised the children with his wife Deanna who stepped up to be their mom. Sandra had visitation with her kids at her sister Cherie and Jeff's house.

Cherie's children have many fond memories of Aunt Sandy and their cousins having spent a lot of time with them when they were young. Although her illness made her unable to care for her children as much as she wanted to. Sandy adored her children and her family. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents (Alden and Arlene), sister Tracy, her step mother Mary Jenkins and a niece and a nephew.

She is survived by her son Thomas, daughter Amanda and two grand children ( Benjamin and Lily ) as well as her sisters Paula (Pat) Enquist, Cherie (Jeff) Ertel, brother Herb (Linda) Jenkins and many nieces and nephews and their children . Sandy will be cremated and her ashes will be given to her son Thomas.

A celebration of her life will be held at her sister Cherie's house when the weather is nicer.

We are grateful to those who took care of her and loved her. Her brother and sisters did all they could to help her throughout her struggles. Her mental illness didn't define her and she loved big. We will miss her dearly. I bet her, Tracy, her mom and dad and Mary are having the best reunion with her now. We love you Sandra and you will be missed.

I am so saddened to see the obituary for Sandy. She and I were best friends in Jr. High and our sophomore year of high school. We had so much fun hanging out at Dee's, the skating rink, Pizza Hut, playing church ball, having sleep overs, hanging out at the Chidester's, Kearns Drug Store, riding the bus to Valley Fair Mall and visiting her mom there at KG's attending girls camp and always being a little crazy and playing hi-jinks . It's probably been over 25 years since I saw her last. I'm sad we lost contact through the years as our lives went down different paths. I have missed her. However, she was always in the back of my mind & I had tried reaching out to family with no luck.
I will never forget her.
I'm sad I will not be able to see her again in this life. I know she's now free from earthly sorrows and I'm sure I will connect again one day.

Sending deepest condolences to all her family. I would love to find a way to be at her celebration of life.

Farewell for now my dear friend. I love you!

Aunt Sandy you will be one of my favorites for all of my life. Every single fun memory I had when I was little, you were part of. I enjoyed our weekends together with your beautiful children and all the love you gave me, in spite of your mental issues you managed to make a lasting impression in my life. I´m forever grateful you were my aunt! Words cannot describe what you meant to me and how much I love you. I´m so blessed to have you in my life for forty years. I will miss you dearly forever and ever.
