Sarah Steadman Obituary
Sarah Steadman
In Loving Memory
Magna Ut-Sarah Aileen Steadman born February 7, 1985 to Micheal and Kathy Steadman in San Diego California, left us too soon. Sarah passed on September 9, 2024, with her loving wife holding her hand and surrounded by family.
Sarah was the baby of the family and brought everyone together. Her ability to make everyone feel welcome, no matter the situation, was a gift. Even at a young age Sarah was giving, loving, and selfless. Always willing to go above and beyond to ensure everyone had what they needed. Always helpful and kind with some sass and sarcasm thrown in. Growing up near the beach Sarah preferred to build sandcastles rather than go in the water, she buried her father in the sand on occasion. As children on our family trip to Disneyland, Sarah could be found on the 3D rides, not the big roller coasters.
Sarah graduated high school and went on to get her associates degree as a paralegal. She worked her way to a Team Leader at Discover Card, being a mentor and an example to many of her employees, she showed many how to be a leader, and a boss.
Becoming an Aunt brought her so much joy in her life, being a second mother to all her nieces and nephews, especially April. Helping to raise them, guide them, shape them and build them up to be better than they thought they could be. She always had great wisdom for any situation you brought her, or even just a shoulder to lean on. She enjoyed "Shenanigans" to get coffee, pedicures, breakfast, quick road trips to buy lottery tickets, and shopping. Always making sure everyone was included and felt loved.
In 2009 Sarah met the love of her life, Katie. They were married in Las Vegas on August 18, 2019. The two were made for each other, both kind, caring, loving, and giving. They spent their many years together laughing, traveling, and caring for everyone who needed it. They loved their friends and helped many when they needed a little support. They raised several beloved cats together, and one amazing daughter, April Bailey. Family was also a priority, with Sarah hosting and cooking for many parties and celebrations.
Sarah is preceded in passing by her mother, Kathy Steadman, Grandpa Jay, Nana Ronna, Grandma Jean, Grandpa Doug, Uncles Ron, Tony and John, nephew Jerec Steadman, niece Dezi and best friend Scott Swaffer. Sarah is survived by her loving wife Katie Brixey, Father, Micheal (Brian) Steadman, sister's Catherine Steadman, Norma Steadman, Stephenie (Dustin) Hylemon. Nieces and Nephews Amanda, Stephen, April, Taylor, Lyllianna, Kayla, Alexandra, Austin and Ryker. Two grandchildren Sebastian and Parker, Uncles Greg (Jim), her entire Black Company family, as well as many loved ones and chosen family.
