Scott Rogers Obituary

Scott Cody Rogers
Larger Than Life
Scott Cody Rogers was born on July 6, 1974, in Murray, Utah to Sid and Marlene Rogers. As a young boy Scott was very ambitious and full of it (I mean full of life). He enjoyed soccer, baseball, football, and wrestling. After graduating from Cyprus High, he served a mission for the LDS Church, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Upon his return he attended Ricks College and later graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor degree in elementary education.
While working in West Jordan, Scott met "his angel" Rachel Heiner, and they were married on January 11, 2013. Just one month after marrying, Scott was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor and doctors said he would likely only live 2-3 months. However, Scott exceeded expectations and lived another 9 months, passing on November 7, 2013, at his home surrounded by his sweetheart and family.
Scott loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, fishing, and camping. He had a passion for learning and loved helping others. His many friends and family will deeply miss him because of his fun personality and his larger than life attitude.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 11:00 at the Bennion 14th Ward, 6550 South 2700 West, West Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be held at the church on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm and on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 prior to the service. Donations may be made in Scott's name at any Cyprus Credit Union. Online condolences at www.jenkins-soffe.com.
