After valiantly battling Parkinson's Disease, Sharon Jeanne Hawk Kelly passed away on 24 January 2024.
Sharon was born on 20 September 1948 to Elsie and Paul Hawk in New Brunswick, NJ. She lived in Kansas, West Virginia, and New Jersey before ultimately moving to Salt Lake City, UT where she met the love of her life, Tim Kelly.
Sharon perfected the art of patience while raising three rambunctious children with a photographer husband who often had to work late into the night. Sharon valued kindness to others, appreciated the great outdoors and its conservation, and lived a life of service to others through volunteerism and doing something every day to make the world a better place.
Sharon loved reading, golfing, softball, bowling, going on road trips, having dinner in the backyard, watching the Utah Jazz play, volunteering at Primary Children's Hospital, walking her black Labradors, hiking to Delicate Arch, drinking wine on the porch, and spending time with friends and family.
She cherished her vacations to Moab, San Francisco, Montana, Lake Powell, France, Las Vegas, the Caribbean, Las Vegas, the Pacific Northwest, and anywhere else that had a beach and served Chardonnay.
Sharon is survived by her children: Patrick, Paul, and Jean; brother, Roger Hawk; and Elsie the black lab.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped take care of Sharon after she suffered a stroke in 2014 and enabled her to stay at her home on Logan Avenue until her passing. All the wonderful caretakers, doctors, physical therapists, and morale boosters that kept Sharon going will be mentioned in the full obituary, but we'd specifically like to recognize Lisa Ika, Diane Best, and Jannalyn Slack here for taking such loving and patient care of Sharon over the last few years.

Sharon's Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, 30 March, 2024 from 6-8 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Millcreek. Please wear bright colors to the Celebration, perhaps a Hawaiian or tie dye shirt to properly honor Sharon and her love of Jimmy Buffett.

Sharon was a lovely person. I knew her back in the "Silverado" days. She was a loving caregiver to her beloved Tim & she was always kind, patient, forgiving & an advocate for his care. I am so sorry for your loss.
