Sheldon Oliver Obituary

Sheldon W.Oliver  LOGAN, UT - Sheldon W. Oliver died peacefully of an aggressive brain tumor Sep-tember 20, 2002 at the home of a granddaughter in Stansbury Park, Utah. He was born of William Albert and Ethel Parker Oliver Sept 4, 1923 in North Raynham, MA. His boyhood was spent in Provo, Nephi, and Price, UT. He graduated form Carbon High School and attended the U of U. He worked for Cudahy Packing and worked for Thiokol and Logan Manufacturing as the comptroller and retired after 30 years. He was active all his life in the LDS Church. He fulfilled many callings, including an LDS Mission to the Alabama Mission with his wife LaRue. He is survived by his wife and sweetheart, LaRue, of 59 years; six children and their spouses, Harold (Colleen), Phyllis Horner (Don), Klare (Petronella), Colleen Ward (Duane), Roland (Becky), Brian; 33 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, June Amberboy, Glen Oliver, Wilma Hansen, Pearl Payne. Services will be 11 a.m. Tues. Sept 24, 2002, Logan LDS 19th Ward Chapel, 1255 N. 600 E, Logan. Friends may call at the Allen-Cranney Mortuary, 420 E. 1800 N, North Logan Mon. 6:30-8 p.m. and at the church Tues. 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment and graveside services, 3 p.m., South Jordan, UT Cemetery.
