Steven Johns Obituary
It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Steven L. Johns. Steve passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2018 from a heart attack.
He was born May 13, 1955 in Salt Lake City, UT to Reed and Martha Johns. Married Jeri Jackman on March 3, 1978. Steve is survived by wife Jeri, son Tony, daughter Ashlyn (Tyler) and 2 grandchildren, by sisters Mary, Vanita, and LuDean, brothers Doug and Merrill. Preceded in death by parents, brother Verl, sister Bette and twin sister Susan. Services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 11:00am at the Wasatch 3rd Ward, 3625 East Doverhill Drive, Cottonwood Heights, UT. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30 - 10:45am. My heart goes out to your family. (Uncle) Steve was a wonderful person and gone much too soon. I remember him as being a very devoted husband to Jeri and father to his children. One of the most vivid memories I have of Steve was the first time that I met Tony and his sister at Grandpa and Grandmother Johns home at a family event. I recall Steve helping them get some food and was struck by how gentle, kind and loving he was to both of the children in the way he spoke with them and interacted with them. It was beautiful to see how engaged and connected he was as a parent and how much he loved and cherished his children.
