Tavita was a great person and I met him through Maauga at BYUH. He was our Samoan lead at nightshow and we were in the same ward. I still remember your wedding day. Maauga, I just want to express my love to you and your young family at this time. May the Lord continue to comfort you and your children and always remember that "Families are Forever". We love you.

Alofa atu mo outou uma.

I have never met this young man but my husband speaks very highly of him and we are both sending our love and prayers for the family to be uplifted and strength to them during this difficult time.

Where Mercy is Shown, Mercy is Given, I do believe that Tavita knew the meaning of this phrase and the Heavenly Father will bless him and his loved ones.

Our prayers are with you.

Sincerely,

Arlene and Joachim Keil

Tavita Gisa was a great man. He was also a very private man.A man who always put God first and willing to serve Him with all his heart, might, mind and soul. The list of accolades goes on and on, but truly,Tavita was a simple and obedient servant of our Heavenly Father. An avid movie-goer,I would tease him about sneaking off to the movies and not take his sweetheart.Well,Maauga,Daphne and Ostini, at times like this,it's hard to find the words that best convey the many thoughts of sympathy our hearts would like to say,but may it somehow help to know that though our words are few,our family are thinking of you now and always and we share this great loss with you. This message brings our heartfelt sympathy for the sorrow you feel.May God bless you at this difficult time, and may He grant you all the strength that you need.We love you and are here for you always..The Ieremia's(Esaia,Taume,Lihae,Solomona&Taumafai)

Tavita is one of the most humble person I know. I met him and Maauga at BYU-Hawaii. I am shocked and very sad with this news and wish his family well. He is an amazing person and will never forget him.

While I was a visiting professor at BYU-Hawaii, I was privileged to teach Tavita in an advanced writing class, English 314. I will never forget Tavita's warm heart and wonderful smile--and his accepting, kind ways.

In my class, he wrote an essay about beauty and ugliness, and this is one line from his essay: "All people, and all things in nature, are beautifully created just as they are. It is only our shuttered human judgment that leads us to consider some things ugly." These are beautiful words that, to me, define the goodness and beauty of Tavita's own heart.

I was shocked and saddened to read of his passing, and I know that he will be deeply missed by his family and friends. I pray the Lord's choicest blessings of comfort and peace will sustain those Tavita has left behind. My heart goes out to you in your great loss.
With all my love to you, and with fondest memories of Tavita.

I grew up with Tavita Gisa in Mesepa, he was "truly one of a kind". I'm sorry to hear about his sudden passing. The Lord will continue to bless his family because of his service to Him and those he had any contact with. He was truly a leader in all aspect of life, and an example to all those who knew him.
"Heavenly Father in His own way tells us He only takes the BEST". My deepest condolence to Maauga their children and his family.

Bro. Tavita Gisa - You will always be in our hearts. Your family are our neighbor and our friend. We will miss you, your smile and your love for the Lord and his work, as you were one of the most humblest men we knew! You have definately touched our family with your love and kindness. Your family (Maauga, Daphne and Ositini) are very strong and you would be very proud of them. Your leadership in our ward was like none other, and we will always remember your advise, counsel and words of wisdom. We know the Lord will be saying to you, "Well Done Thy Good and Faithful Servant!" May the Lord bless your family and please know, that if they ever need anything, we are right up the street, please don't hesitate to call on us. God be with you 'till we meet again!

Tavita was always a good friend and example. He was a hard working Man that cared deeply for his family and faith. He is a Man that honered his Priesthood and stood up for the right. He would always put the needs of others over his own. Men like Tavita are too few and far between. He will always be missed and thought of often.
