Tommy the last time I talked to either you or anyone in your family was when I was at your fathers service. How I wish I had known you were leaving this planet and on to your next adventure so that the other side of your family, Joyce's side could have said goodbye. Now I will remember you as always defending the post office and defending your job. I used to babysit your kids a lot when I was way younger and that was always a great amount of fun as your kids were great. Goodbye Tommy from me and from the folks on your Aunt Joyce's side. Tommy and I were boyhood friends growing up on Utopia Avenue and going to St. Ann School. Tommy lived at the corner and I lived 4 houses west. We had a third best friend Mark Anderson who also lived on Utopia Avenue. We went everywhere together. We named ourselves the 3 Musketeers after we saw a free Saturday movie at the Southeast Theater of the old Three Musketeers Movie. We lived at a time when our mothers sent us out by 8 am in a tee shirt, jeans and keds and didn't want to see us until lunch or dinner. Each of our moms had a distinct call or whistle which we all knew. Many times we ate lunch and dinner at anyone of our three houses. All of our parents were allowed to scold any of us. We wandered the fields around us to find pop bottles to get refunds @ Wards Market to buy candy or go to Joys Cafe to get "Wild Indian" sodas (all the flavors in one). We would wander up to Grand Central to look at the toys and get Ice Cream Sodas at Snelgrove's. We played over-the-line (baseball) for hours everyday or climbed the fire escape banners and roofs of St. Ann School until the Priest or Nuns shooed us away. We were all altar boys together. We got in many fist fights between us and after it was over, in minutes were best of friends again. We slept out in one of our backyards every night in the summer, look at the stars and wonder about life. We always looked up to Jimmy and Bobby, and they came to our rescue many times. We were inseparable. It was the best of times to be friends and I have many great memories that I will never forget. I am now retired and live in Arizona.
Tommy thanks for being one of the best parts of my life.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I didn't get the chance to get to know him real well, but when I did talk to him he was such a nice man. It is so hard to let go even when it's in their best interest, the selfish side wants them here. You're all in my thoughts and prayers :'(

Tom was a good friend since 10th grade at Granite High School and in recent years a good golf buddy. Rest in piece.
