Vernon Potter Obituary

Vernon Potter, MD

1961-2025

Sandy, UT-Vernon D. Potter was reunited with his daughter and parents on May 21, 2025. He was 64 years old. Vernon was a devoted brother, husband, and father, a dedicated doctor, and a faithful temple goer. Born in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Arnel and Dona Louise Potter, Vernon spent his childhood as one of 5 children in the Midwest. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Bernardino, CA. After completing medical school and marrying Linda Stucki, the couple moved their family to Sandy, Utah, where the two raised their four surviving children. Vernon loved serving his patients as a family physician. As his health declined, he found joy serving in the temple.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 31st at 9880 S. 3100 E., Sandy, Utah. There will be a viewing on Friday, May 30th from 6 to 8 PM and on Saturday from 10 to 11 AM at the same address.

Dr Potter was an amazing man and physician! He always treated our family with love and respect. I will always remember his smile and "the happy feet" and "let´s get you hopping"comments. Our prayers are with Linda and the family, until we meet again with our happy feet. He will be missed.

Dr. Potter was an amazing person. He always greeted us with a smile. He was our family doctor for over 20 years. He always wanted "To Keep Us Hopping". He always showed us the best care. He truly knew our family. He was also outstanding with our son with Autism. We are honored to have been a part of his life. I am so so sorry for his family.
