I miss you already so much! Thanks for being the best dad ever!!! The flying tacos...... Hahaha maybe we shouldn't repeat that one. I love you so much. You were there for me whenever, wherever and for anything I have ever needed. I'm so thankful I was able to be there for you when you left. As hard as it was I wouldn't have missed that for anything!!! So glad your not feeling sickness or pain anymore. I'm sure there were sooooo many people glad to see you when you got to heaven. Your momma, Uncle Bob, Uncle Tom (just to name a few) I know there were countless others. Doesn't stop me from being selfish and still wishing you were here with me :( I have a indescribable feeling of sadness and emptiness. Thanks for all you taught me. Thanks for the amazing person you were. I am so blessed to have been your daughter. I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Your crazy nicknames for me still make me laugh.....Ballovercadnasty, Wimpy as well as the many others. I know you told me not to miss you. But like we have talked about so many times, "I don't do what you say anyway" Good thing we both know the truth. My kids were lucky to have you for a grandpa. They miss you so much. They loved seeing you. You were the greatest grandpa ever!! Love you forever!!!

Love, Tam

UNCLE WAYNE WAS ONE OF THOSE UNCLES WHO WAS A KID AT HEART. HE COULD WALK THUR THE DOOR AND HAVE 5 SMALL NIECES & NEPHEWS HANDING FROM HIS ARMS & LEGS-HE WAS A REGULAR JUMBLE GYM. I LOVED HIM SO MUCH. I DIDN'T GET TO SEE HIM BEFORE WE LOST HIM, BUT THAT IS OK, I WANT TO REMEMBER HIM AS HE WAS. MY LOVE GOES OUT TO AUNT LILA AND MY COUSINS-HE WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED--UNCLE WAYNE YOU WERE THE BEST, I LOVE YOU

July 14, 2013

Wayne was our good friend and buddy, great husband and father who would do anything for anybody at a drop of the hat.
We will never forget our adventures to Saint George, Las Vegas, Oatman and Nashville just to name a few.
It didn't matter if we were playing dominos, the card game of Three-Thirteen, darts or jart's, Wayne would be the first to say “count me in” and was always the first to ask “what's for dessert?”
Another fun thing he liked to do was view digital photos through the television. We would “zoom in” and “freeze frame” a certain not so complimentary area and poke fun at each other's photo. We would laugh until our sides split or pass out. Wayne could take it as well as dish it right back, he was a great sport.
We love you and you will always be fondly remembered in our hearts and yes of course, we will always remember “The Stipulations”.
To the family of Wayne, please know we are deeply sorry that he has left us, please know that you are in our hearts and prayers.

Our family will miss you. Wayne, you will always be in our memories with warm thoughts of our friendship we have had through the years with you and Lila. You were truly a gem and a delight just to be around. Little Mark has such fond memories of you and were the "cat's meow" in his eyes. Your NPS runs, card and domino games, BBQ's and dinners will never be forgotten and especially your white swim trunks - OH, the laughter and fun we had together. No more white trunks where you will be now.
Bless Lila and your family in this difficult time. Sending our sincerest sympathy. Love ya Lila!! Colleen, Richard and Little Mark Erickson

Death, be not proud

Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.
