Dear Julie, Jason, Sheriden, and "Pres"
Please know I am thinking of you during this difficult time. The Monday I went to see Wes was a very emotional moment for me. So hard to say goodbye to one of your best friends. But there was something in my heart that told me I needed to say it directly to him. I pray he heard and understood me. I know Wes is now free of pain and suffering. For me and you there is happiness felt for Wes. I love Wes as a Brother and Friend. Wes, my Brother, rest well and see ya on the next Drop Zone for a cold one!

My Dear 1SG,
It is my honor to have served with you, my fellow Green Beret. You are an inspiration and a role model to me and made me a better First Sergeant by your example of professionalism and compassion for the soldiers who served under us. You always had a kind word of encouragement and a positive attitude on what we as soldiers could accomplish against all odds. Anything, Anyplace, Anytime. You have a great sense of humor even in the most stressful of times and a deep devotion to country, family and your fellow man. You are the" Quite Professional". I speak in the present because you are still very much alive. Alive in my heart and mind and alive in your consciousness as you transition into your next life. It is only your form that has been relieved from suffering.
May that journey into the next realm of consciousness be one of happiness, joy and freedom from suffering and all of its causes. May your adventures be filled with enlightenment, compassion and the same love you shared with us while you were upon this earth.
May those who you have left behind be blessed with love ,compassion and understanding that this is but one journey of many we all will make.
So I do not say good bye but until we meet again.
