Willard Lee Obituary

Willard Leroy Lee

1925 ~ 2022

Sandy, UT—Willard Leroy Lee, 96, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 3, 2022 in Sandy, Utah of natural causes. He was greeted by his loving wife, Dorothy, 4 brothers, 5 sisters, parents, granddaughter Marci Johnson and many friends who have been anticipating his arrival.

He was one of 10 children born to Willard Artie and Mary Amelia Hamblin Lee on October 18, 1925 in Gila, New Mexico.

It was love at first sight when Dorothy saw Leroy. Two years later they were married in the Scott Air Force Base Chapel in Belleview, Illinois where Leroy was stationed. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on December 28, 1955.

Leroy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and acted in many callings. Leroy and Dorothy served two missions, one in Nashville, Tennessee and one at Temple Square during the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Leroy is survived by four daughters: Marsha (Larry) Johnson, Vicki (Daniel) Romero, Tracy (Lavar) Campbell, Georgia Wing, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
