Allen T. 'Tommy' Sefcik, 65, of Bulverde, Tx. formerly of Taylor, Tx. passed away Saturday, February 25, 2006. He was born in Taylor, Tx. on December 21, 1940 to Frank T. & Florine (McCutcheon) Sefcik. He served in the USCG. He was a Taylor High School graduate and a 1963 graduate of Texas A&M. He began his career in education at Garner Middle School in San Antonio, serving in both administrative and teaching capacities. He is survived by his mother Florine Sefcik of Taylor; sister Cherral 'Sherry' Sefcik of Taylor; aunt Elizabeth Ray of Round Rock; cousins Sue Fullerton Ballard of Houston, Ronald Terrance Dolan of Austin; close friends Vangie Steitle & son Mike of San Antonio. His father Frank Sefcik preceded him in death. Allen was highly respected and loved by fellow co-workers and friends. He influenced their lives in many ways and believed in loving his neighbors more than himself. Allen was an active member of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church and member of the President's Club at Hillsdale College. He believed very strongly in the principles of our nation's forefathers and the freedoms allowed us in the U.S. Constitution. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 1, 2006 from 6-8 PM at Condra Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 2, 2006 at 2 PM with Rev. Cliff Egner officiating at Condra Funeral Home. Burial will be in Taylor City Cemetery. Memorial service will be Friday, March 3, 2006 at 10 AM in the sanctuary at AHUMC, 825 E. Basse Rd., SAT. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Allen Sefcik Memorial Fund, c/o Shannon Van Horn, Hillsdale College, 33 College St., Hillsdale, MI, 49242, is appreciated.
