October 19, 1942 - April 5, 2024
Abel Arguello, born October 19, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas, entered eternal rest peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, April 5, 2024. He was reunited in heaven with his beloved wife Guadalupe Arguello, his loving parents Asuncion and Martina Arguello, and his two sisters Diana Arguello and Teresa Chavez.
Abel is survived by his children Sandra Arguello Cardona (Raul), Linda Arguello Torres (Jonathan), Abel Arguello (Lisa), Ray Arguello (Elaine), Joe Arguello (Veronica), Yolanda Arguello (Robert), 15 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. His brother Pedro Arguello, his sister Sylvia Delgado,

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Abel served his country with honor, completing a distinguished tour in Germany before receiving an honorable discharge. Following his military service, Abel dedicated himself to a career as a machinist, where his skill and expertise were unparalleled. He worked for both Kelly Air Force Base and Standard Aero until his retirement.
Abel's greatest joy in life was his family. He loved playing billiards and poker, and barbequing with his loved ones. His playful spirit brought light to even the dullest of days.

A celebration of Abel's life will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Palm Heights Mortuary from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 6:00 p.m. Funeral home will welcome family and friends at 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2024, and will depart at 8:30 a.m. to St. Timothy's Catholic Church for a 9 a.m. service. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.

A special thanks to Legend Oaks South for giving him excellent care towards the end of his life.
