Abelardo Rios was called to the Lord on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the age of 89. He was born February 5, 1934 in Cameron, Texas to Juanita Guerrero and Guillermo Rios.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva H. Rios; great grandson, Dominick J. Garcia; father, Guillermo Rios; mother, Juanita Rios; brothers, Eulalio Rios, Jose Rios, Willie Rios Jr.; sister, Juanita Rios Ortiz.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura Garza (Michael), granddaughters, Amanda Garcia (Jeremy), Andrea Garza, Rebekah Garza Trevino; great grandchildren, Jacob Trevino, Julian Trevino, Josiah Trevino, Mark Acosta Garza Jr., Lorali Garcia as well as numerous family and friends. Abelardo will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 beginning at 5:00p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. On Thursday, July 13, 2023 we will go in procession for a 10:00a.m. Mass at Holy Family Parish Church, 152 Florencia Ave., 78228. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd.,78266
