Adam Zamora Obituary

ZAMORA
Adam Rufino Zamora, born on October 17, 1944 passed away on August 10, 2014 at the age of 69. He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Luz Zamora; brother, Manuel Zamora Jr.; sister, Consuelo Del Rio; and uncle, Rufino Peña Zamora Jr.. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Ruth Ann Zamora; daughters, Ruthee Rose Zamora, Genevieve Gonzales and Chuck Romero, Karen Zamora and Michael Cochran, and Mary Louise Dooly and husband Sean; sons, Antonio Gonzales and wife Angie, Adam Rufino Zamora II and wife Diane; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous extended family and friends. Adam was a wonderful husband and father. He was a "Jack of all Trades". Along with his strong work ethic and his talented woodworking skills, he was able to provide for his family. He had great sense of humor and was always making people laugh. He enjoyed spending time at the Coast with the family, and watching Classic Western Movies. Adam was comfortable in the kitchen as well as grilling for his outdoor Barbeques; inviting everyone to join him. He was detail-oriented and had a meticulous way of maintaining his home and cars. He will also be missed by his beloved pet cat, "Lily". Adam will forever remain in the hearts of those left behind to cherish his memory. Visitation will be held on Friday August 15, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM at the Hillcrest Chapel. Arrangements with :

I met Adam and his family shortly after moving to San Antonio in 1991.
We lived in adjoining apartments.
Over the years, he showed me all around the city...places that I never would have seen.
We had many wonderful times together, and I'll never forget him.
Rest in peace, Adam, and I'll see you again!

My dad was a great man and a wonderful father it was really hard for my family to be hsppy after his death. This is the first summer without him. I loved him so much he would take me to school and take care of me when my mom was at work. I will miss you daddy I love you.

Adam and I go way back to when we were both young men, working together at Wittigs Office Furniture and Payless Office Furniture. He loved to cook out at the store and serve delicious brisket. He was always kind to everyone and had a smile on his face. Ruth meant so much to him and he loved his children very much.

It was such an honor to be a part of his healthcare team, and I was so sad when I heard about his passing this morning. Despite the circumstances, he made each and every one of us laugh, and we were all so happy to see what a beautiful family and support system he had. I have so many fond memories of Adam and his family.
We met early in 1991 and shared many a meal and afternoon together by the pool (and later at his house) over many years.
My prayers are with all of his family now in their time of grief, but they have so much to be proud of because of this wonderful man.
