Alice E. Almaraz, age 74, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Born in San Antonio, Texas, she was a proud 1964 graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, serving as president of the Blue Jackets. She was a Postal Clerk for the USPS and retired after 35 years of service.
Alice is survived by her daughters Cynthia (Chris) Dennis, Danette, Andrea, Beverly Almaraz and Erica (Augustine) Sanchez; sons Isaac (Christina), Vince and Rene Almaraz; brothers Jesse and Edward Esquivel; sisters Gloria Esquivel, Ann (John) Landeros and Jean Esquivel, along with numerous grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Victor R. Almaraz; parents Eleazar and Elvira Esquivel and son Victor Anthony Almaraz.
She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family members and friends.
Service will be on Monday, February 15th at 3:00 p.m. at Mission Park South. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
In accordance with CDC guidelines, everyone is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing in the chapel and at the cemetery. The service will also be live-streamed and guests are encouraged to watch from their vehicles on the theatre screen in our parking lot. While I didn’t know Mrs. Almaraz it warms my heart that she was proud of her time at Sidney Lanier High School and her accomplishments as a member of the Blue Jackets and as a graduate of the class of 1964. Godspeed Alice. I wish I had known you.
