Anita Gutierrez Obituary
Anita E. Gutierrez went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2017. Anita was a proud graduate of Lanier High School in San Antonio, TX and was a longtime member of St. Phillip of Jesus Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her father Vicente Elizondo, mother Pauline Elizondo and sister Rose Cadena. She is survived by her daughters Virginia Brown and Yolanda Gutierrez, grandson Adam Peterson, granddaughter Lauren Brown, brothers Vicente Elizondo Jr., and Joe Albert Elizondo. Visitation will be held on Sunday February 12, 2017 from 4pm to 9pm at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday February 13, 2017 at 10am at San Juan De Los Lagos Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II. My hreartfelt codolences to my dearest childhood friend's family. I will surely miss Anita as we were dearest friends for life (grew up and played together). I'm sure she will watch and pray for you all. May God grant you all the peace and tranquility that you all need in this time of sorrow. I will miss her terribly. Yolanda, a mother's love is special and her love abounds you, your sister and her grandchildren forever as long as you speak of her and remember her; she will remain alive in your hearts. No one ever wants to see our loved ones go to be with the Lord, our selfish side wishes that they live on forever here on earth. But truth be told, her soul lives on in heaven with Jesus Christ and you will see her again as she waits for all of you with open arms.
