Barbara Purgason Obituary

PURGASON
Mrs. Barbara Bernice Purgason of San Antonio passed away on Monday, September 12, at the age of 84. She was born on January 19, 1928 in Jourdanton, TX to Robert Claude Purgason and Minnie Korth Purgason. Mrs. Appleby is survived by her son Tommy (Judy) of Mobile, AL and daughter-in-law, Jan Appleby of Mason, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Larry Appleby, Jr. (Alison) of Mason, TX; Kerri McLaughlin (David) of Austin, TX; T.R. Appleby (Wyn) of Monson, MA; Josh Appleby (Janelle) of San Antonio, Jarrod Appleby (Holly) of Theodore, AL; Tyler Appleby (Misty) of Lucedale, MS; a nephew, Don Neill of Dripping Springs, TX and nieces Donna Rodgers of San Antonio and Cindy Duppstadt of Foresville,TX. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Appleby was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Appleby, her son, Larry Appleby, Sr., and her parents. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 15 at 10:00 a.m. at San Fernando III Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to the American Cancer Society or the Los Angeles Heights Presbyterian Church or to a charity of your choice.
