Birjilio Ramos Obituary
February 15, 1930 - October 4, 2025
Birjilio Ruben Ramos passed away on October 4, 2025, to a greater place and joined his beloved wife, Reyna Flores Ramos at the age of 95. He is survived by four daughters and one son, Inez Skillman, Sylvia Rendon, Irene Ramos, Rosemary Youngblood and Ruben Ramos; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Sidney Lanier in 1948, joined the U.S. Navy and served until 1954 during the Korean War. He retired from Kelly Air Force Base after 38 years of service. As a charter member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, he coached boys baseball, basketball, and girls softball. He also participated in the San Antonio Senior Games playing softball, basketball, billiards until the age of 87. He also was a member of the Walker Ranch Senior Center where he participated in billiards and chair volleyball.
Rosary and Holy Mass of Resurrection will be on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 9:30 A.M. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 8134 Blanco Rd, San Antonio, TX 78216. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Reyna. Burial service with military honors to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Holy Spirit Catholic Church Altar Society. We will forever carry his loving memory in our hearts.
