Sylvia, I am so sorry to find out at this late date about Bobby's death. I did not know and sorry I missed Bobby memorial service. When I found out yesterday by one person and today by another they said the service was just beautiful. Out of respect for you and Bobby, Milton and I wished we had been there. Bobby Jack and his brother Cecil James (Jimmy) were my first cousins. Their mother, Audry, and my father, Carl Cotten were brother and sister, so we grew up very close. We took several family vacations together since our parents & many kin folks were from Mississippi and Louisiana . Bobby Jack accompanied my sister & me in a talent show at South San High School. Bobby Jack spent some of his summers, before getting his driver's license, honing his skills for the wonderful musician he was to become. His brother, Cecil, being 8 years older was the one allowed to give his new brother a name. I, personally, will always love and admire those sweet, good looking Hill cousins of mine! It will just never be the same. Goodbye, "Robert John", see ya'.....

Bobby was a wonderful person. We always looked forward to visits from San Antonio. I was touched by the request to the Emmaus community. When I went on my pilgrim walk, I remember Bobby and Glenda driving all the way from San Antonio to Glen Rose to support me. I will always be touched by that special night. What an awesome memory. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends.

Although I didn't know him well, we shared the common bond of music. It runs pretty strong in our family. I grew up hearing stories from my mom, Jane (Cotten) Young, of Bobby Jack playing guitar and singing Ol' Shep. I think of him often. You will be missed.

Bobby and I worked at Valero in the drafting department for many years. Bobby was always willing to lend a helping hand to the new comers. I have no doubt the good Lord will continue to use Bobby's talent of music and song. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Hill and extended families.
