Carmen Rodriguez Obituary

CARMEN J. RODRIGUEZ
March 17, 2025
On March 17, 2025, Carmen J. Rodriguez was called to her heavenly home. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her kindness, determination, and generosity.

A San Antonio native, Carmen attended St. Peter Claver & St. Mary's Schools downtown and graduated from Providence High School in 1973. She built careers at Southwestern Bell/AT&T and later Fulton Property Group. Passionate about honoring those who served and their families, she supported Wear Blue: Run to Remember and Wreaths Across America. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, Joaquin and Annabelle.

She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Rodriguez, and parents, Abel and Olga Ledesma. She is survived by her husband, Ray; son, Christian; daughter-in-law, Kim; and grandchildren.

A Visitation and Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Angelus Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to Providence Catholic School or the Holy Spirit Catholic Church Capital Campaign.

If I had one word to describe Carmen, it was GRACE. She was always so kind and gracious. I could always count on Carmen to help me with anything I needed as a Room mother for my 3 kids at St. Margaret Marys Parochial School. She was a dedicated mother, and a compassionate friend. She always had a smile on her face. Ray and Carmen raised 2 beautiful boys and they became outstanding young men. My family and I send our most heartfelt condolences to the entire family. May our Lord cradle you in his arms as you rest in peace with Andrew.

I just learned of Carmen´s passing on April 3rd, so I´m heartbroken for Ray and her family. I used to talk to Carmen when I worked at Retirement Solutions, and it was always pleasant. My prayers are with her family during this difficult time. May Carmen rest in eternal peace. She will be missed by all those who knew her.

Dear Ray, Sylvia and family,
I’m so sorry and shocked to learn of the loss of sweet Carmen. She was always delightful company. The obituary is so beautiful. I wish Carmen had more time with all of us, but it is clear that she lived and lived with gusto. May her memory be for a blessing. Hugs.

Carmen was special. She was generous in spirit & fact, I was not close enough to know her on an intimate level, but recognized her as an exceptional individual. She will remain in my thoughts and prayers.
