I offered up my singing today at the Archdiocesan Opening of the School Year Mass for Cathy. I know she was singing along from heaven. We worked together at the Pastoral Center for a short time and she made her little cubby hole full of charm, welcome and spiritual uplift. Those words also represent what she brought to each human encounter.
I am praying for Glen, Sarah Rose, Monica and Mom and Dad Moreno. Sometimes, we just don't understand. Still, we know that she carried God's light in life, and is continuing to shine. Peace and strength, prayers and gratitude for sharing Cathy with the world.
Sincerely,

Mrs. Boyd was my choir teacher during my junior year of high school for a brief time. I am about to enter college soon and she truly helped me connect with God. I saw her just recently and am shocked at her passing. My deepest condolences and prayers to her family.

Boyd Family,

Cathy was such a positive person with a ready smile and bright personality. I knew Cathy from Middle and High School and reconnected recently and found that in such a large but small world our daughters also went to High School together. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. She will be missed.

Dear Glen and Family,
You have my sincerest condolences and heartfelt sympathy, at this time of mourning for Cathy. Like many of us in the Archdiocese Choirs, and our Congregation members, I was deeply saddened to learn of the illness, and recent passing, of our Beloved Music Ambassador, Cathy Boyd.
I read John Halloran's email on Monday, and felt a strong melancholy, a longing, and a Calling to sing, especially for Cathy Boyd and your Family, at future services. Cathy's Life is a Reflection of Musical Service. In June of 2016, at The Holy Trinity Ambassadors' Service, I felt like I was in the presence of a truly great Lady: a marvelously gifted, abundantly talented, anointed and ordained Music Minister. Cathy was "On Loan to us from Heaven." I know She Sings Eternally with Angels, on Earth and in Heaven... Amen.
Respectfully Yours,
Debra "Debi" K. Hopper-Suing

I was honored to teach music with Cathy at OLPH Catholic School in the 2011-2012 school year. She was a very talented musician and devout Catholic. Cathy helped to strengthen my faith and develop me into a stronger musician. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Cathy is singing with God and the heavenly choir. May God watch over you all, hold you in the palm of His hand, and grant you peace. I will miss you, Cathy. Thank you for everything.

Praying for all of us as we pay tribute to the beautiful person Cathy is, not just her amazing voice, but her joy & zest for life. If I could just live my life with a tenth of her spirit I would be living well. When I attended Good Shepherd, we were blessed to have Cathy direct the choir. She used to have us practice a new song before Mass (I loved this!) and she would tell us that if a song had 4 verses we would sing all 4 or if 5 then we would sing all 5. Our bible study was blessed to have her in one of our classes. Please know Boyd family that we prayed over you then and are praying over you now. Our loved ones unite in praise & worship in Heaven just as we do now and at every Mass, at every moment we whisper their name and draw them into every detail of our God-given events. Our hurt is a fraction of your family's hurt and all we can ask is Holy Spirit be their comforter, Jesus lead us toward unity and grace, God grant us Mercy & Love just as you grant all your faithful. Blessings.

For the Moreno and Boyd Families, my condolences on the loss of your beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend. Cathy was a beautiful person inside and out. Her musical talents were incredible. She brought so much joy to everyone she came in contact with. We had such a fabulous time in band, in St. Ann's Choir, at Our Lady of Sorrows when she sang at our 6 p.m. Mass and at our recent Edison Golden Bear Band Alumni Reunion. Sweet sweet friend and servant of God. I know the heavens are rejoicing at Cathy's return home. Rest in Peace Cathy. You are loved and missed greatly.

Cathy, my heart was filled with joy when we reconnected on fb late last year. We kept in touch with likes and comments. Shortly thereafter you fell ill but still managed to keep going. I always looked to see your progress every morning up until the day of the 17th and my heart broke. I was soon filled with memories of being 2nd chair flute to you at Mark Twain. Even then you were always kind and sweet. You even let me try to play your piccolo until I ran out of breath. Then I was lead to hearing you sing our class song at graduation rehearsal which was The Long and Winding Road... Now your journey has just begun with our Father in Heaven. I know you are in his Choir Now! I am blessed to have known you and will hold my childhood memories close to my heart. You were loved by many and will be missed by many more.
