Christopher Poehlmann Obituary
Christopher (Chris) Lee Poehlmann, 60, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Christopher was born in San Antonio to Lolita and Melvin Poehlmann on December 31, 1952. He attended grade school at Leon Valley Elementary and high school at Charles Schreiner Military Institute in Kerrville, Texas. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound from Incarnate Word University in San Antonio, Texas. He worked in the medical industry as an ultra sonographer for over 20 years. He enjoyed gem collecting, music and played the saxophone and guitar.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Lolita and Melvin, and former wife, Rebecca.
He is survived by his daughter, Christina Poehlmann; his son, Benjamin Poehlmann; two brothers, Terry Poehlmann and wife Phyllis of Lometa and Jeffery Poehlmann and wife Carol of Austin.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31 from 5-8PM at Collins Funeral Home (6867 Montgomery Road in San Antonio, Tx). Graveside services will be conducted by Pastor Nancy Lund at Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes at 11AM on Thursday, August 1.
The family requests any contributions be made to Zion Lutheran Church or a charity of choice.

I worked with Chris for over 20 years. He was an excellent x-ray tech, nuclear medicine tech and sonographer. I liked his sense of humor and found him to be very intelligent. I am sorry that he is no longer with us. I pray that time is healing his loved ones that he left.

I was shocked at learning of Chris's passing. I'm a cousin of his and played with him a lot as a youngster. We lost track of each other as we moved on in life. My sympathy goes out to his children and his brothers.

My condolences and prayers go out to you during this difficult time. I worked with Chris at NE Radiology in the '80's. He was a great coworker with a wonderful sense of humor. I was sad to hear of his passing. I will always remember the great memories we had at work. RIP my friend.

I worked with chris @ N.E. Radiology for almost six years and i found him to be a very knowledable individual, very kind to people and always very kind to me, he is just my age and he will be missed very much,

I worked with Chris for over 20 years (with the Radiologic clinic) and knew him to be very intelligent and have a great sense of humor. When the office closed, I lost touch with him and others. I am very sad to hear that Chris has passed away. I have fond memories of him. He and his family are in my prayers.
