Clarice Roth Obituary
July 7, 1929 - July 18, 2023
Clarice Childers Roth died on July 18th at age 94. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Morris "Mickey" Roth and daughter Deborah Roth. She is survived by her daughters Maris Roth Guerra and Rebecca Morris and sons Ben and David Roth. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Clarice and Mickey were active in Civil Rights causes in Duncan, Oklahoma - instrumental in integrating the city's public pool and providing swim lessons at the Douglas public pool. As an RN, she served as the nursing supervisor for Kenya Nursing Home, the only Black-owned nursing facility at the time.
She will be buried alongside Mickey at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. The family wishes to thank Dr. Fernando Lopez for the wonderful care he provided.
