My deepest sympathy to Tila's family and friends. Tila would brighten my day every Tuesdays at the store in the Institute of Texans Cultures where she volunteered. I would come to see her and greet her and she would always had a beautiful smile, kind words and a BIG hug. We, at the security Department and others will miss her very much. My prayers are with you all.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. She was very dear to my grandmother, Inez T. Perez, they are now watching over us.

I had the extreme pleasure and blessing of meeting Tillie on our 2009 Pilgrimage to the Holy Land. She was a joy and an inspiration to us all as was her sister-in-law Maria as we traveled everywhere. I remember especially one point where she sat on a huge boulder by the Sea of Galilee and said to all of us in hearing range,"Aqui me voy a sentar porque a mi se me hace que aqui se sento Jesus y aqui me voy a sentar tambien!" I'll bet she's found another rock to sit down with the Lord! I'll never forget her and her beautiful smile. She was like a Mama to all of us. I am going to miss her Christmas Posadas.God Speed Tillie.May he hold your family in the palm of his hand in the days to come!

My deepest sympathy to Tile's famiy. We have lost a beautiful lady and God has gathered her to His heavenly home. She was our favorite person on our trip to the Holy Land. Always in awe of the sites we visited and never forgot who walked those stones and dirt paths before us. She now joins all the saints in Heaven. Via con Dios Tile.

I was proud to serve as a fellow docent with Tila at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Institute of Texan Cultures. She was a dear and loving friend to me, my wife Marci and all who knew her. It was a joy to come to the museum on Tuesdays and see Tila's smilling face. I will never forget her love of Betty Boop and the joy we had in finding Betty Boop items for her. Tila was one of a kind and as the family said, a true Angel. She will be sorely missed. We share in the families sorrow. Frank and Marci Woolf
