Daniel Floeck Obituary
September 10, 1932 - July 16, 2023
Daniel Cessud Dewalt Floeck 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16 at his home in Blue Skies over Texas, San Antonio,TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Daniel Cessna Dewalt and Maude Anderson Dewalt, his sons, Thomas and Michael Floeck. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Carole Floeck, his son Dan Jr. and wife Susan Floeck, his son Joseph and wife Charlotte Floeck, his son Kirk and wife Susam Floeck and his daughter, Elizabeth Floeck Nunn. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Dan was born September 10, 1932 in Houston Texas. He graduated from St Thomas H.S. in 1950. He attended Texas A&M University receiving an honorary degree in business. He joined Jimmy Fischer in the auto parts business in 1955 and shortly after formed Hi-Lo Auto Supply with his many partners, which he ran until 1987. He was a member of the board of directors at both Guardian and Klein banks.
Dan had many interests. He enjoyed flying, playing golf and tennis, hunting and fishing. However shooting sporting clays made him the happiest. He loved competing and visiting with his friends. Most importantly, Dan loved the Lord and had a benevolent heart in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. He loved spending time with his family and hearing details of his grandchildren's activities.
A memorial service will be held this Saturday, July 22, 11:00 a.m. at Parkhills Baptist Church, 17747 San Pedro Ave., San Antonio, TX 78232.

This gentleman was a mentor to me, I was so amazed by him and his family. Mr. Floeck was a client of my company at Hooks Airport. I was hoping to see him again, I worked away from Texas to long. I miss the good days flying with him a couple times. But more so his caring ways meant the world to me. My regards to the entire family Dan was a hero to me and many other folks. I tried a few years ago to find him and had no success. I'm currently taking my flight review after 30 years no flying, but Dan put a spark under me years ago. Thank you sir.

Deeply impacted hearing of Mr. Floecks passing. His impact on me was profound and his success allowed for the success of myself and many others. He represents a wonderfully inspiring period in my life as a bellwether. I pray thanks for having known him and peace to his family.
