David Aguilar Obituary
David Anthony Aguilar born October 07, 1954 went to be with the Lord July 29, 2010. Mr. Aguilar is survived by his wife Sandra V. Aguilar, Daughter Brenda M. Aguilar (Edward Rodriguez), son David Anthony Aguilar Jr. (Liz Sharrow); grandchildren Evangelina J. Aguilar, Edward J. Rodriguez and Evan M. Rodriguez; parents Amador and Socorro Aguila; sisters Sylvia Aguilar and Norma Olguin, numerous friends and extended family. The family would also like to thank The Cancer Care Center and CTRC. A visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 02, 2010 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3,2010. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. with a mass to be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at St. John Berchmans' Catholic Church with interment to follow in San Fernando #3.

Hello, Sandra.
Had the need to reach out to you before David's guest book goes off line.
Before i remarried in 2002, i, too was widowed in 1984-unexpectedly. Left with an almost one year old to raise on my own, she was my saving grace. just as your grandchildren, children, friends and family members are. They're your life line and you'll find these life lines generous with patience and love for you. You will experience good days and bad days. And, just when you feel that you're doing better, you will experience a set back; a fleeting memory will arise and this will bring you an inconsolable grief.
Though i've remarried, the indelible memory of my former husband remains. The strongest reminder is when i visit SA and watch our beautiful 27 year old who is now a mother herself of a 7 year old.
So, Sandra i'm able to relate to your grief. Sincerely, i grieve with you. You will always remember David and expect his phone calls, and anticipate his walking into the house, his great big smile & the twinkle in his eyes...and on, and on, and on.

Today marks a year you have been gone We miss you dearly and love you. We now have four grandchildren three boys and our little princess Evie Jo. Eddie says you have been gone to long we need to go pick you up from the cemetery and put you in the back of the truck and take you home with us. He has not forgotten you his best friend Pa. Dear Sandra,
I had the pleasure of knowing you high school. My personal vivid memory is of yours & David's blossoming friendship & affection. He was so tall & you were so petite-striking couple you both made.
Sandra, Mario Moreno & his Mariachi group & I spent the last evening together in celebration of my Mother's 80th Birthday. Afterwards we spent a few brief moments reminiscing about our high school days. Sadly, Mario mentioned David's passing this past summer. I often wondered why I had stopped receiving emails re fund raisers for David...so, I'd presumed he was better.
The last time I saw you & David was at a JFK function bidding Mr. Jimmy Vasquez a farewell after all his years spent in the E.I.S.D. system. It was such a happy occasion to see you both then, and what was amazing is that you two remembered me!
Sandra, my sincerest condolences on the loss of your best friend, companion, partner, lover, father of your children, grandfather, and your husband. Words to comfort you on your immense loss, elude me. But, know this, I grieve with you. You are not alone in your grief, & David & you were blessed with many friends, & aside from your children & other family members, they're there for you when you're feeling overwhelmed.

On Sunday Oct. 10, 2010 our Son David A. Aguilar Jr. got married, I missed you babe on this day no one on my side to walk with me to see our son get married. It was a beautiful Ceremony. Our compadres Mary and Victor were by my side on that day. I Love You and miss you every day from the time I get up and the time I got to sleep.

I know it is very difficult to lose someone you know who is very close to you. I just lost my grandmother 9 months ago. But when you find you've lost someone who's made a difference in your life and you hadn't seen that person in over 25 years, that hurts just as much. David was a great mentor to my little cousin and myself in the mid 80's back at Gilbert Garza recreation center. He kept us straight and out of trouble all the time. If it wasn't for him, we could easily have ended up in a gang or had some affiliation to one but thankfully God chose to place David directly in our path down the right road. Please accept my dearest condolences and may David rest in peace. God Bless.

I worked with Mr. Aguilar at Krueger Elementary. He was such a kind man, so sweet, and always willing to help with a huge smile on his face. Even when he became ill, he was so strong, and still so helpful. He used to say, "I'll get it done! A little slower, but I promise I'll get it done!" Again, with a smile on his face. We were always so appreciative of all that he did for us. We are all blessed to have had him in our lives. May God bless you during this difficult time. Keep your faith and know that Mr. Aguilar is no longer suffering, but rejoicing with the Lord in Heaven!

David was a good friend who made many people laugh and brought out the best in them. I had fun playing ball and clowning around with him.
