My dear brother, David.... It's been over 3 months - and I have yet to really grasp and accept this loss.... It has been very hard as it was so unexpected my brother. I continue to pray for understanding and acceptance of losing yet another brother..... I know you keep an eye on your wife and children.... they are so very strong - which goes to show how good of a job you and Eileen did raising them.... As for Eileen, not enough words to describe - I see and understand why you would always say "That girl is my rock"... You are so very very missed by everyone - however that big loving spirit is everywhere!! I love you soo much and I am sure we will meet again - the whole gang!!! wow that will be something!!!
All my love, Big Cat
Your little sister, The Mutly

David, you were always so vibrant and alive... perpetually the life of the party. You definitely had "the gift of gab" as you called it. You'd yak forever, then say, "There I go again. Just tell me to "shut up!" You could sell ice to an Eskimo. You had such a passion for life itself! Such a gentle soul with a big heart. I can't believe you have left us here, but I know you are truly home with the Lord. You are one of His greatest miracles with all you overcame. I'm proud of you... I love you and will miss you, my dear friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. David never failed to have a kind word for me and always made me laugh. In our earlier years, he reassured the girls he would protect us if we needed him because he was a Golden Gloves boxer. I always felt safe knowing he was "on our side". I'll never forget the good times. May your family find much comfort in his memory, and strength through God during these difficult days.

David was one of the first people I met at Clemens - he was always smiling and making people laugh. My prayers are with the Arocha family.

April 6, 2010

I was so sad to hear about David's passing. I have such happy memories of David...

I was a silly, teen-aged girl who probably did silly, teen-aged girl things all the time (thinking I was so cool). David was like a brother to me...a protector. I was envious of Monica for being so lucky to have him actually be her brother!

David put up with our group of silly, teen-aged girls. He made us laugh. He gave us serious lectures when we put ourselves into stupid or dangerous situations. He looked out for us. He was just a great, great soul.

Although I hadn't seen David in years, when Debra called to tell me the news -- I was immediately sad. Then I flashedback to all those years ago & remembered him...laughing & joking, enjoying life. I couldn't help but smile at the memory.

I wish strength, peace and love to David's family. Mon...you are in my thoughts. I am so very sorry.

Life Is But A Stopping Place

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys.

Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord

Our prayers are that you find comfort in the Lord.
