David Duarte Obituary

David Alexander Duarte, age 17, passed away August 11, 2001. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harrell Tyler and great-grandmother, Olivia Perez. Mr. Duarte is survived by his parents, Leo and Julie Duarte; sisters, Kristin Duarte and Janine Duarte; brother, Jonathan Duarte; grandmothers, Carol Gash and Lucia Perez; also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He attended Somerset High School where he was a member of the varsity football and track team. In addition, he held a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was an undefeated champion in various tournaments. Mr. Duarte was a volunteer coach for underprivileged children. The Duarte family will be receiving friends after 1:00 P.M. today. A Prayer Service will be conducted Tuesday, 7:00 P.M. at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, 10:00 A.M. at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in First Memorial Park under the direction of Trevino Funeral Home (Palo Alto Rd).
