David Stanley Guy

David Guy Obituary

David Stanley Guy went home to be with his heavenly father on May 18, 2006. He was born February 22, 1933, in Shaker Heights, PA to Wilmer and Anna Guy. He entered the U. S. Army at the age of 16 and served in Korea. As a Sgt. 1st Class, he earned the distinguished Bronze Star with the V Device among other medals. After his discharge he lived in Austin, TX, where he was a member of Carpenters Local 1266 until he moved to Boerne, TX in March of 1976. He was a member of the Kendall Masonic Lodge # 897, A.F. and A.M., the Chappreal Division of the Alzafar Shrine and Alzafar Hospital Corps. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters, David is survived by his wife Maureen of 38 years; Children, Cindy Knutson, Becky Deacons, Michael Hanna, David Guy-Cooper, Walter Hanna, and Valery Lynch; Twenty one Grandchildren; Several great grandchildren and his faithful companion, Dobie. Visitation will be held at Vaughan's Funeral Home on Sunday, May 21 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, May 22, at 10:00 A.M. at Vaughan's Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors and Masonic Graveside Rites will follow in the Boerne Cemetery.
