David,

I am sorry I have only gotten around to writing this now. I just wanted to let you know that since your passing, I have made a better effort to keep in touch with those who were part of the ISA family. I am glad we got each other, especially during the hectic trip to Zacatecas sophomore year. You were obviously missed a lot, and I regret that I did not get to say goodbye. I hope this will make for it.

David, our toast to life

I miss you David.

Time has the habit of ticking away
Each breath a moment gone
Every heartbeat a marching drum
A cadence of falling tears
For remaining years w/o you near

To those who are true to themselves in spite of the many averted glances...For those who not only stand tall but stride beyond the reach of the narrow minded and fearful... For those able to see through the haze of false illusions and grasp life with love and compassion...For those destined to breathe fresh air into a stale world....David you will forever be our hero!

You are missed Little one. Ishmael knows that you are ever present and still watching out for him...You just have yourself a higher perch

Dear Yasin Family. We were deeply saddened to hear of your terrible loss. I remember David well from his early Boy Scout days, I have great memories of a canoe trip to horshoe bend. David was at the rear of my canoe,it was his first and we weren't moving so I looked back and he was paddling backwards. I told him to watch me and soon we were on our way. David was around 11 or 12 years old.He and my sons Matt and Richard enjoyed their years in scouts because of the fun guys like David. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. David was called home early and is now in God's arms. May God Bless you and your family and keep you close in this time of loss.

David during our trip to Miami FL 2007. He loved the beach & was determined to "turn as brown as toast!"

David's Favorite graffiti wall art in the city. He loved that it was a combo of brush paint & spray paint

The day we decided to walk the entire city..6 miles...and discovered David's favorite graffiti walk art!

David, you were such an energetic and loving partner - the city and our home seems so empty now. Each street I walk seems to remind me of our many strolls together exploring the cityscape! Your wit and funny observations of life here pop into my mind daily and still make me smile. Thank you David for sharing your intensity, love, and passion...
Everyday now is Honor D.A.Y. for me - my first thought and first smile each day are yours my little prince.

I'll miss David so much. He was always there for me no matter what. He even dressed as a court jester for a little girl's birthday party who I used to babysit back in high school. You were my best friend.

David was always smiling and wonderful to be around. He never seemed to let things get to him and always kept his head high. I was lucky to have known him in high school.

I am so sorry to hear of this news. The Yasin family and friends are in my prayers. David and I were able to know each other through ISA's 2003 graduating class. He was, and is, an amazing person, and I can only hope we can look upon the amazing mark he left on this world. He is a great reminder to me of how short and precious this life is. David, thank you.

I was in David's ISA class. He was such a blessing to have around. Always available to lend an ear, shoulder, or a hand to anyone who asked. He will be missed. I am very proud to have called him "friend" and his family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

David wasn't the type to try to fit in. He was his own person and I admired that about him. I went to high school with him. My heart goes out to his family and will be in my thoughts and prayers.

David was a good buddy of mine. He was a joy to see in the halls on a bad day. I miss you deeply buddy. Can't wait to see you. I rub your back, and you get mine. ;)

This is just one of the Corporate logos/graphics which David helped to design for companies in San Fran - he was so talented in so many ways.

I don't know the right words to use to express how heartsick I am for David's family and close friends. He was smart, funny, and just a great guy. I could always count on him to help me in class or be there in the hallway, arguing with me like we always did. :) I'll miss you buddy!!

Our hearts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. I only met David a couple of times. In those times I saw him as a caring brother and very polite young man. After taking with him a while, I could see that he had a great personallity and a bright future planned for himself. Only God knows the plan for each of us here on earth, and David has fulfilled his plan.

I remember David well from the time he was my student at Trinity University Upward Bound program. All of the staff and faculty at Upward Bound are very sad and in shock to read of David's untimely death. He was so young and full of life!!

Relaxed and ready for a night out on the town. David loved going out to art shows, & world cultural events. It was something we would do each week to remind us to always find time for the things we enjoy and one another :-)

I am very proud to have been Davids cousin. Even though I am 12 years older, he took the time to get to know me. He was a kind and caring person. He was somebody that I could tell things to and know that he would not tell anyone. David will be missed very much. I will never forget him.

I will make sure that your dream of traveling abroad to study art lives on David by setting up something we used to joke about... The David Yasin Art Scholarship, in which Host US (the company you helped organize) will send one student abroad each year to study in Paris or Berlin for 4 weeks. You were the best partner in life as well as in business David. I will miss you soo much bonito!

Justin,
For as long as I have known David, he was kind, caring and was a good big brother to you. Although he is gone, he will remain in our hearts forever. His untimely departure from earth is a tragedy in itself.
I know you and I will grow even closer through this.
My Batman collection will always bring memories of David.
Love Always,
Gary
