Diana Lynn Ellis, age 59 passed away May 10, 2016. She was born November 5, 1956 in San Antonio, Texas to Louis and Beverly (Naef) Stephenson. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna and brother, Mark. Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Gary L. Ellis; Daughters, Jennifer Bailey and husband Joe, Cynde Williams and husband Scott; grandchildren, Jordon Bailey, Joseph Williams and wife Jessica, Eryn Williams, Alyssa Kershaw and husband Scott, David Williams, Kaylie Williams, Tyler Williams, and Jacob Williams; great grandchildren, Callie and Avery Kershaw; sister Debra Sevening and husband Loren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk, Universal City, Texas, 210-658-7037. Thank you for your kindness and gentle ways.
You brought more happiness and hope to me as my nurse. You always had a smile on your face and a bright light in your eyes. You knew how to put people at ease at the most difficult times.

I just found out this terribly sad news. I am so sorry for the family's loss. Diana was one of the best nurses that I ever had the pleasure of dealing with, and I will miss her deeply. RIP Ms Diana - until we meet again

I knew Diana almost 10 years and I suddenly and sadly lost my best friend who was like a sister to me.Her love will be passed on and I know she will be with me everyday. I have a lot of lovely memories of her. My family and I send our condolences to Gary and his family. I will miss hearing her voice everyday.

Our family in Colorado is mourning the loss of our cousin. Diana had such a big heart, nursing was her calling because of that. Terry, Katy, Krista and I are saying prayers for Gary and Jenny and all the family. We will miss her dearly. Sorry we couldn't be there today, but hope to come when you hear a date from Fort Sam. The best nurse! She went out of her way to help patients. My patients loved her cheeriness and her common sense approach. For me she was a dear friend that I knew for about 20 years. I will always carry a special place in my heart for her. Dr. B.

I've known Diana for 10 years. Just the most wonderful person one could ever imagine. She epitomized what it means to be a professional nurse and she loved her family. This is simply shocking. She's a loss to so many people.

Gary and the Ellis Family, you have my deepest condolences. I've only known Diana since February. On my few encounters with her, I always left feeling uplifted. She had the spirit of an angle. She was truly a blessing to anyone who encountered her. She will truly be missed.
