Dixie Wallace Obituary

July 24, 1935 - April 21, 2018
Dixie Dee Wallace, born on July 24, 1935, passed away on April 21, 2018, at the age of 82. Dixie was born in Del Rio, TX and grew up on a ranch. The things she learned on the ranch stuck with her throughout her life, including her love of animals and nature. Dixie worked as both a teacher and a librarian for over 30 years. She taught in Del Rio, in the Randolph School District, and Judson ISD. After retirement she enjoyed spending her free time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles Wallace; infant son, Charles Michael Wallace; parents, Dee and Ivey Dee Harrison. Dixie is survived by her daughters, Kellie Shivitz and Kim Galloway; grandchildren, Hayden Shivitz, Ryland Galloway and Kenzie Shivitz. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018, at 6:00 PM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to Encompass Hospice or the Judson Education Foundation.
