Don McKenzie Obituary
Don M. McKenzie passed on October 7, 2009 at the age of 69. The son of Glen & Alice May McKenzie born in Albany, Ca in 1940. He graduated from Hugo High School in 1958 and was a member of the US Navy from 1958 to 1961. He graduated from Oklahoma State in 1966 with a MA in Accounting. He served in a number of professional & executive capacities for Conoco, Conalco Aluminum, Pearl Brewery, Southdown Corp., & Satelco Corp. He was owner of McK Plastics in San Antonio. He is survived by his wife Marilyn and sons Murray, Clint, & Clay. A reception will be held at the family home 13711 Scarsdale on Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 2 to 4 pm.

I met Don a couple of times and it was apparent he'd never met a stranger, his warm smile was welcoming. My husband worked with him for a number of years and missed him dearly after the closing of MCK. Our hearts and our prayers go out to your family. Miguel and Karen Flores.

Marilyn, Murray, Clint, Clay, Ron , Mike and Ms. McKenzie, My heart is broken to hear about the loss of Don. He was a brilliant man with lots of wonderful stories. He made all of our world a little brighter just by knowing him. The communities of Martinez and China Grove have lost a "Hero" in our eyes. He did so much for us in our fight against BFI and because of his hard work we were successful. We will always be greatful to him and will carry a special place in our hearts for him. May God watch over each of you and bless you with his love.
