It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Ohlinger McOsker, age 86 of Lytle, Texas, Thursday April 10, 2025 at her residence. She was born July 26, 1938, in Gallipolis, Ohio, a daughter of the late Theresa Clark and Pearl Ohlinger who raised Doris in New Haven, West Virginia.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Floyd McOsker, son Roger Santos, daughter Sharon Pilgrim, brother Robert Ohlinger, sister Dorothy Ohlinger Roush.
Doris was a force of nature in every phase of her life. Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother, colleague, friend. Doris worked many years in the Radiology Department at Nix Hospital in San Antonio. She enjoyed country music, dancing, lake and deep-sea fishing, playing softball, collecting fossils, rocks and petrified wood, reading, golf, feeding the deer and hummingbirds.
Doris is survived by a combined loving family including three sons, seven daughters, 23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and other family members who will miss her.
Procession to the burial will begin at 9:30am, Thursday, May 1, 2025 from the Primrose Funeral Home in Lytle, Texas, located at 14822 Main Street, Lytle, Texas 78052. Graveside services at 10am, Black Hill Cemetery, IH 35 South Access Road at Lucky Road, Lytle, Texas 78052.

Doris was the mother of my childhood friend, Roger. When Roger died, I drew closer to Doris and, every year on Roger`s birthday, I would call her just to check in. Roger was a big part of my teenage years and I have indelible memories with him. He was so lucky to have had Doris as a mother who took such good care of him. I don´t know who I will call on the phone now every August 23

She was my Office Manager at Nix Hospital Radiology Dept in San Antonio, Texas. I thought of her often, tough little cookie but all backed with love. Miss ya Ms, Doris.
