Douglas Kruppa Obituary
Douglas B. Kruppa, CPA passed away on October 14, 2017 at the age of 71. Born in Victoria, TX, Doug graduated from St. Joseph High School in Victoria and received his degree in accounting from St. Mary's University in San Antonio. After many years as a tax partner with Padgett, Stratemann and Co., he opened his own accounting firm and continued as a sole practitioner until his retirement. Doug was a member of Oak Hills Rotary Club for many years.
Survivors include his wife Helen H. Kruppa, CPA of San Antonio; son Michael D. Kruppa, PhD of Johnson City, TN; parents Emil and Janell Kruppa of Victoria, TX; brother-in-law R. Michael Hartman and his family of Fullerton, CA; and nephew Zachary Kruppa and his family of Victoria, TX. Doug was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law Donald and Judy Kruppa of Victoria, TX.
A Visitation Service will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 8500 Cross Mountain Trail, San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice.
