Douglas Robinson Obituary
Douglas "Curly" Wayne Robinson, Jr., M.D., 74, was lovingly and peacefully called home by the Lord on March 25, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. Curly was born in Gilmore, Texas on November 12, 1947 to Emma Ruth Little and Douglas Wayne Robinson, Sr.
Curly was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, surgeon, friend, and mentor.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Cynthia Kolb Robinson; three daughters, Jennifer Estoll (Greg), Sarah Hodge (Chris), and Anne Mason (Billy); and 12 grandchildren: Chloe, Elijah, Bethany, James, Peter, William, Nathan, and Margaret Estoll; Ellie and Anna Hodge; Everly and Annabelle Mason.
MEMORIAL SERVICEFRIDAY, APRIL 1, 20221:00 P.M.ALAMO HEIGHTS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH825 E. BASSE ROAD, SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS 78209
Rev. Donna Strieb will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Texas Surgical Society, https://www.texassurgical.org/online-payments/donations/. A more detailed obituary will appear in the coming days.

I worked with "Curly" for more than a quarter century as a member of the Operating Room staff at the Methodist Hospital. He was a skilled Surgeon who was cool under pressure, but he was a better man. I told him on one occasion that his parents had raised him right. That was reflected in the way he treated people. My condolences on your loss but know that many were enriched for having known and worked with him.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr Robinson. He was my surgeon on two occasions and I had the very best of care. He quickly got me to top knotch doctors after my cancer diagnosis and for that I am so grateful. His sense of humor still makes me smile. Condolences to the family.

I am very sorry to hear about Curly. I knew him first as a devoted husband to Cynthia and great father to Jennifer, Sarah, and Anne. Then I got to know him as a surgeon who always had time for his patients. Prayers for his family.
