Edna Stappenbeck Obituary

Edna Mae (Lux) Stappenbeck, age 92, passed away on November 1, 2022. Born on November 15, 1929, in San Antonio, Texas to Joseph Rudolph Lux and Agnes Lena Tessmann. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 72 years Clifford Ray Stappenbeck. Edna is survived by her daughter Brenda Smith (Dean); grandsons Jason McGarvie (Lori) and Paul Smith; and her great granddaughters Kendall McGarvie and Peyton McGarvie. Anyone who knew Edna, knew that she was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother a family could ask for. She was an avid quilter and a devote member of Shepherd King Lutheran Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Shepherd King Lutheran Church.

Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shepherd King Lutheran Church.
