Eloise Palmer Obituary

Mrs. Eloise D. Palmer age 86 of San Antonio died Monday, February 4, 2008. Mrs. Palmer had a career in real estate, but was also involved in many charitable organizations throughout her life in both the community and the church, including St. Anthony's Seminary, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, St. Gregory's Catholic Church, and taught at St. Gregory's Catholic School. Eloise will always be remembered by friends and family for her beautiful ready smile and for the compassion she always showed to those around her. She was preceded in death by two sons: William Joseph, Jr. and James Patrick Palmer. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, William J. Palmer; sons: Danny Palmer and wife Carole, Thomas Palmer and wife Trudy; sister, Norine Eggleston; grandchildren: Hannah McMinn, Nathan, Joel, Sarah, Katie, Daniel, Molly, and Chris Palmer; numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M. in the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered Friday at 9:30 A.M. in the St. Joseph's Chapel located on the 2nd floor of The Village at Incarnate Word, 4707 Broadway. Interment will follow at St. Luke's Cemetery in Loire, Texas. We would like to thank the staff at The Village at Incarnate Word retirement community for the kind and loving care given to our mother while she was with them. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Oblates of Mary Immaculate or The Village at Incarnate Word retirement community. I will always treasure my wonderful memories of my sweet Aunt Eloise. She always had a smile on her face and an encouraging word. I will miss her very much, but I take great joy in knowing, I will see her again someday.
