Fernando Duran Obituary

DURAN
Fernando Y. Duran, age 57, of Von Ormy, TX, passed away Wednesday morning, June 17, 2009. He was born on September 22, 1951, in San Antonio, TX. Fernando was the son of Janie Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Ernestina Duran; five children, Anna, Fernando Jr., Daniel, Christina and David. He also had eight grandchildren. Fernando also raised his nephews, Tom & Richard Perez. Fernando is also survived by 1 sister and 3 brothers. Fernando loved his family verymuch. He was a mechanic for 39 years. He enjoyed making everybody laugh with his jokes and he loved taking care of his animals. After being a mechanic, Fernando traveled extensively through out the United States with Joey Records (1996-2000) as a video and audio production assistant for Michael Salgado, Los Garcia Brothers and Los Rieleros del Norte. He will be missed greatly.Viewing will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. The Funeral Procession will depart the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009, for a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clare's Catholic Church, 7701 Somerset Road. Interment will follow at First Memorial Park.
