Florence Flores Obituary
October 9, 2025
Florence (Flo) Flores, age 95, passed away on October 9, 2025, from Advanced Alzheimer's Disease. Flo was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Susie Guzman and her husband Joe. She is survived by her 2 children, Cindi Flores-Narvaez and her husband, Dr. Robert Narvaez, and Michael Flores and his wife, Elaine Flores. She had 3 grandchildren, Robert, Christopher and Marisa and her fiancé Bobby Puga; and 2 great grandchildren, Mia and Jackson Narvaez. Flo was a great example of being dedicated to her family, friends and God. While raising her children, Flo worked at the West Side Bank for 30 years. In retirement, she and her husband traveled, became voluntary babysitters for the grandchildren and was very active in a bunco club with women she knew since high school for fifty plus years. After the death of her husband, she volunteered for St. Vincent de Paul and the Bereavement Ministry for 12 years at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in San Antonio, Tx. Flo was a fine example of a peacemaker, had a patient and understanding temperament and always exuded a calming grace. And now, as Flo is a participant in the Community of Saints, she humbly awaits her Lord's instructions.
SERVICES
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 5:00pm-8:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 10703 Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78230. Entombment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
