Frances Thurman Obituary
Frances R. (Chibby)Thurman, age 90 died Sept. 4, 2010 at the Stone Oak Care Center, where she resided. She was born in Rhondo AR June 17, 1920. Frances was preceded in death by her husband Jack B. Thurman; daughter Patricia Nuzzi and grandson Steven Mortier. She is survived by 3 children, Carol Olive Mitchell of Memphis TN, William E. Olive and wife Brenda of San Antonio TX and Susan Debner of Kendalia TX; 9 grandchildren, Paula and Ronald Smyres of Memphis TN,Jill and Jack Bretcher of Austin TX, Lindall Mitchell of Dallas TX, Brian and Leslie Debner, Eric Debner, Lori Debner, Christopher and Page Debner, Justin and Natasha Olive and Kelly Olive all of San Antonio TX and 15 great grand children. A Mass will be held at 10:00 am. on Thursday Sept. 9th, 2010 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 20523 Huebner Rd. San Antonio, TX. 78258.

We only knew Frances for a short time, but she is a great lady. Her smile would melt an ice berg it was so warm and sincere.

Brenda, my condolences to you and your family on the loss of Frances. May the Lord hold you all close and comfort you at this time. She was a wonderful lady and a joy to be around. May she rest in peace.

I brought Holy Communion to Frances for over a year and came to love her. I call her the "sleeping lady with the beautiful smile." She never complained, always smiled and welcomed our visits. I am so sad that I did not check this obit before today, so that I could have attended her funeral Mass. My sympathy to the family. That sweet lady is now resting in heaven. I will miss her.
