Gerard (Jerry) Bruce Walker passed into eternal rest on August 8, 2021 at the age of 80.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Harry Walker, and mother, Santos (Estella) Ramos Walker as well as his brother, David, and his sisters, Cecilia Fierro and Harriette Powell.
Jerry is survived by his sister, Angelica Sanchez, sister-in-law, Alana Walker, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jerry generously donated his remains to the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) to further the advancement of medicine. Jerry touched everyone in a positive and loving way and he will be privately remembered by his family and many friends.
Jerry's family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his honor to the UTHSCSA via web https://makelivesbetter.uthscsa.edu/, by phone at 210-567-5313, or by mail: UT Health San Antonio, 7703 Floyd Curl Drive, Mail Code 7835, San Antonio, TX.
Donations by mail should include "In memory of Gerard Walker" on the memo line.

So hard to believe it has already been a year since you left us. We know your contributions to science have helped make inroads to the study of genetic illnesses. We miss you greatly but are so proud of your unselfish desire to make a difference. Love you always.
