Gilbert "Gibby" Sauceda was born in Galveston, Texas, on August 5th, 1943, to Crisanta Torres. He passed away on July 28, 2024. He is preceded in passing by his sons, Gilbert "Pelon" Sauceda, and Robert "Babo" Sauceda, his brothers, Ralph Issac, Ray Torres, and Richard Torres, his mother, and his lifelong partner, Janie Sauceda. Gibby is survived by his daughters, Elsa (Keith) Wiatreck, Lisa S. Talamantez, Monica (Henry) Ruiz, Josephine Sauceda (Frank) Carrera, and Joann Perez, 23 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.

My Daddy was a great dad grandfather and a great grandfather. My Daddy was in my life for 51 years I just turn 53 on Aug 2 so yes he raises my as one of his own. Every Wednesday I got to spend it with my daddy with all his storys I would ask questions about everything. My Daddy lived a great 81 years of life Love u Daddy till we met again ur daughter Mona
