Grace Ponce Obituary
Grace Ann Ponce went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the age of 48 years. She enjoyed working at H.E.B., listening to Rock-n-Roll Music, playing pool. Grace loved cooking for and being with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfonso Ponce Jr.; brother, Alfonso Ponce III, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Ramirez. Grace is survived by her children, Genevieve Ponce and husband Jaime Hernandez, Sarah Hughes and husband Eric, Amanda Ponce and Mike Robledo, Margaret Ponce and Charlie Rivas, and Sebastian Ponce; mother, Ana Ponce; sister, Krista Contreras and husband Rudy; brother, Charles Ponce and Becky Duran; nine grandchildren; also numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 20th from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. It was Grace's wish to be cremated following services. As the day gets closer the tears seem to get more frequent, Its been almost five years since you've been gone and not a day goes by that I am not heartbroken by the absence of your presence. I miss you and will forever love you. I see the pain in the family's eyes and its hard to keep pushing at times, but we know you are watching over us. Sometimes I smile while feeling your presence. Missing the laughs, the "big ole Mexican plates", the 7am phone calls, most of all I miss your infectious smile, positive attitude, and your welcoming nature. The world lost a beautiful soul the day you left us, but we gained a beautiful angel. Love you Easter Bunny.

Mom, I can't believe you have been gone 4 years tomorrow! I miss you so much! I know you're proudly watching over us. Even though you're not here, I know you see our struggles and walk with me through them. Thank you for not leaving my side! I listen to your music all the time and remember all the fun times!
