COWART
ROCKPORT, TEXAS--

Grady D. Cowart, 81, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his home in Rockport, Texas. He was born May 13, 1930 in Rockford, Alabama. Grady was founder of Grady's Bar B Q in San Antonio, Texas. He was a member of Davy Crocket Lodge 1225 in San Antonio. Grady sold his business and retired to Rockport in 1996. He will be remembered by many for his sense of humor, his jokes and his great generosity. He loved cooking, the bar b q business and all the wonderful people that worked with him. His parents, Archie and Retha Cowart and brothers, Tommy and Cleo Cowart preceded Grady in death. He is survived by his wife, Faye; two sons, Grady, Jr. and Ross Cowart and also Tommy, Lynn, Ron and Mike Lobert; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Durden and brother, Gene Cowart. At his request, the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to:
